Watercolor Pirate Cat—Created in Procreate
This is a little something different from my previous posts in this section. I wanted to challenge myself to create a work that showed depth through the use of subtle shadow and lighting. I used brushes from the Procreate Library and Lisa Glanz’s AquaReal set. You can purchase the AquaReal brushes here.

When I’m not helping kids find their next must-read book or caring for my pack wacky rescue animals, I can be found writing stories that bring children and animals together.
