Free Halloween Printable Activities- Color by Code and Word Search
It’s three weeks until Halloween! I finally put out my Halloween decor. Now all I need to do for the big day is get lots and LOTS of candy for the many children that will be trick-or-treating in our neighborhood.
In the meantime, I know parents and teachers are looking for fun Halloween activities to help reinforce learning. I’ve created a couple of color by sight word activities and a color by number activity for Halloween. If you are looking for something a little more challenging, I’ve also created a Halloween word search. These Halloween printables can be used for stations, morning warm ups, or as an activity while students are checking out books in the library.
Download the Halloween word search here.

Choose from a cute candy corn, a friendly Frankenstein, or a smiling Jack-o’-Lantern for this color by code activity. Free Printable Color Your Own Hallween Bookmarks
Halloween is just six weeks away! I’ve already observed one house in our neighborhood starting to put out the Halloween decorations. It will be a few weeks before I start that chaotic activity, but living in Texas during the holidays has certainly been an experience. Last year, a neighbor down the street cooked barbeque and hired a mariachi band for Halloween trick-or-treating. It was a joy to sit on our porch, passing out candy, while listening to the music.
In preparation for the Halloween festivities, I have created these six printable color your own Halloween bookmarks. They are free to use for classroom and personal use.
Free Printable Color Your Own Bookmarks
The bookmarks feature a bat with stars, a dog dressed as a vampire trick-or-treating, a cute ghost reading a book, a Halloween cat, spiders with candy, and three spooky friends.
It is best to print these Halloween bookmarks on white cardstock, but you can print them on lighter color purple, green, and orange cardstock if you want to stick with Halloween colors. Coloring these bookmarks is a great activity for students who finish their work early, but honestly, you can color them just for fun. Don’t forget that these are great to give away to students during checkout time in the library to prevent them from dog earing book pages.
